My parents have used Abiel Gonzalez for various painting projects for years so I called when I needed work done. He helped me pick paint colors (I was having trouble making a decision). The crew was polite, professional and cleaned up daily. I love the finished project! My walls look great but I really love my newly painted kitchen cabinets the most. I’ll definitely use this service again in the future.

I've used Abiel twice now and have been pretty happy with my experience. He stripped and repainted our kitchen cabinets and added handles to them previously. Recently we hired him again to paint the trim in our dining room and to re-paint our home office. Both came out beautifully. There was one minor flaw in a corner that I informed him of and he responded immediately and corrected it. Just our experience the two times we've used them, and we will be using them again I'm sure.

What a disappointment! The owner Abiel Gonzalez came to our home on December 10th to give an estimate on painting the kitchen cabinets. We agreed on the price, gave him a $1,000 deposit to begin the work the third week in January. Never showed in January coming up with multiple excuses that he had scheduling delays and promised to show up February 2nd. Of course, no correspondence from Abiel about not showing up. Sent a text that he had been out of town and would be at my house Monday or Tuesday. Never showed and would not respond to text messages or phone calls. However, if you call from a different number he will answer the phone. Abiel Gonzalez is the master of excuses and hiding behind phone calls. I finally had to threatened him with contacting the district attorney to get my money back. Do not use him! He has no intentions of completing the work he makes estimates on.

This is the third time we’ve hired Gonzalez General Painting. This time it was to replace all the rotten wood on the exterior of our home, recaulk and paint the whole house, shutters, and garage. Estimate was reasonable. We are very pleased, the house no longer looks like it’s 20 years old, would recommend!

I'm sorry to write any negative review, but I think it important for businesses to have feedback. I contacted Mr Gonzalez and he came to our home and gave me an estimate for the painting of our front hallway and stairway. At that time he said he was available to do the work the following week. That next Monday I texted to confirm the actual day he would be coming, and did not receive a reply. I ended up texting a few more times and then calling to leave a message, asking if everything was ok or if a conflict had come up and requested for him to please let me know if he could no longer do the job. He never replied. Feeling rather miffed, I used a different number to text him one more time, posing as a new customer and inquiring if he was still in business and accepting new work.. Not recognizing my number he promptly replied that yes he was accepting work and would be happy to give me a quote. I responded telling him who I was and that I was sorry to see what kind of business practices he followed. If an agreement is made, then it seems only common courtesy for a contractor to let you know that they are not able to honor the commitment if they can not follow through. I can only assume that our job was too small and he no longer thought it worth his effort or time. As it was I wasted over a week waiting on him, then had to start the process of getting another contractor for the job. We ended up using Affordable Painters of Pearland, and couldn't be happier with the work. He came when he said he would and did a top notch job, for an excellent price.
