I used Meadowlake 288 during the New Years holiday for the first time (12/30/2025 - 1/3 /2026). It was my dog’s first time having been at a boarding facility. I had some concerns (at the time) from the get go about it being his first experience - they assured me he would be in good care.
The tour I got was great. The facility was organized, the staff I came into contact with friendly. I am giving two stars only for the communication of the staff every time I checked on my dog.
When I picked up my dog he had a rasp, what ended up being kennel cough. Also upon pick up he REEKED. He smelled so bad, like he had been put into a filthy kennel, maybe snuggled with other dogs covered in feces. Additionally I was not appreciative of how he was acting. He was weirded out. I am very displeased with his behavior and on edge. I picked him up on a Saturday morning. Tuesday he was scheduled for neuter, the surgery had to be cancelled, his kennel cough was very pronounced.
I called the facility and spoke with Maggie. I did inform her that my dog had kennel cough. He was healthy prior to being dropped off, but now sick after being in their care. I did request that they make this right. I was informed they would cover vet expenses only. Vet invoices were requested. Those were submitted. Now I have to supposedly wait for a mailed check to reimburse me for my vet expenses. I submitted my invoices 1/6/2026.
I paid $360 for my dog to obviously be in distress, become filthy, and get kennel cough. And then an additional $120 for vet bills that I have yet to get refunded.
I should be refunded for the $360 as well.
I do not recommend this facility.

Our Bella absolutely loves doggie daycare here! She gets so excited when we pull up. They have a great staff who I trust with our fur baby! Bella, who is usually shy, feels comfortable and happy.

Today was a return to Meadowlake with Neferkitti and Calico being prepared for an extended stay. I think they like it here as went right in. Staff are attentive and friendly. Denise and Emily showed empathy for all my concerns as the two cats are housed together .

We boarded our two fur babies (2 pibbles) for 5 nights for a cruise. The staff were very professional & seemed to really care about the animals, which is the type of place you want to leave your dogs at. I really appreciated the streamlined reservation process, the good communication, the price transparency, the add-ons available, and the top notch customer service. We road trip quite a bit so Meadowlake will be our first choice going forward in the Houston area.

Credit card details should never be mixed up. I don’t understand how somebody else’s card information got saved to my profile. I agreed to pay using the card on file thinking it was mine, but it turned out not to be. I’ll take some blame because I should know my card number by heart, but at the same time how does this kinda mistake happen? I really like you guys (personality wise you’re great), but this is not the first mistake you’ve made. Letting my dog slip through the kennel door with no leash, her not being 100% dry after her grooming, etc. Those I’ll excuse, but this is not good.
