Everyone from front desk, techs and vets are always very nice, and are great when treating Ares and when I had to make the call on sending Rena over the bridge during the COVID-19 pandemic Dr. Clark was compassionate and helped us throughout the process. Everyone gave me so much time to just be with her before and after. That has never left me, and my experience with each vet who treats Ares has been wonderful.

I took my totally indoor cat in again for recurring health issues. I had to drop him off for his appointment and then pick him up. Ever since he has been home from his appointment, he has been totally freaked out and hiding. I wasn't there so I'm not sure if something happened to him while he was out of my sight? And I had an appointment time to pick him up, so I paid my bill and sat and waited for them to bring him out. I finally got tired of waiting as asked the lady at the desk if she could find out why it was taking so long to bring him from the back. She stated well we do have other cases and I'm standing there thinking yes I'm aware. But once again how long do I need to wait for you to bring my cat from the kennel area? Ten twenty minutes? These people are so slow....and let's not mention the vet that just went on and on saying my cat has fleas that's why he has bumps. I certainly know what fleas are and if my cat has them. And he doesn't, so I feel like they don't listen to clients concerns and check his records for the diagnosis from his last visit....

I've been a client of Dr. Helen Stehouwer since before she opened Parkwood Animal Hospital, and I’ve continued with the practice ever since because of the consistently excellent care. Dr. Clark is also one of my favorite vets—compassionate, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable—and all the veterinarians at Parkwood have been outstanding. The staff are equally wonderful: professional, kind, and always ready to help. I have tried many vets & I can confidently say Parkwood is the best! Our fur babies love going here. All of the staff is amazing & you can genuinely tell they care about your pets! I will never take my dogs anywhere else.

I called to let them know- Was 15 minutes late for an appointment and was told the doctor wouldn’t see my dog cause he left early (receptionist said appts are scheduled in 20 minute windows). If this had been a check up, that would’ve been fine but for a Saturday appointment to have a drain removed because of my dog’s emergency surgery I would think they would show some grace. Been coming here for years with my four dogs and usually have to wait in the room for at least 15 minutes to see the vet. Really disappointed in this. Will be switching. We also foster and the last two times we brought a foster in, the vet tech didn’t do the shot they were supposed to and didn’t document the second time resulting in confusion for the Foster agency when they gave us special permission to use this vet.
