I brought my cat in due to a bad reaction she was having to sedatives from another vet. There was less than an hour waiting time for her to be taken in and about 2 hours to talk to the vet. They were so sweet with her and she wasn’t as stressed as I thought she’d be. They had me check her to see if I was comfortable bringing her home, but since she wasn’t 100% I asked that they keep her overnight. She’s back to her normal self now and I’m very grateful to the vet team here for taking such great care of her.

I am beyond upset and disgusted with this place and their apparent lack of morality when it comes to charging people for money. Earlier this week on Saturday, we brought one of my dogs in due to a wound she had on her head and they were wanting to do surgery and place a drain. They quoted approximately $1600-1800 for that. We took her to SNIP and they said she needed antibiotics, prescribed them, and she has been fine since then.
Last night, we took my other dog in due to her hurting her back. They took my dog at 7pm to do an exam. They did not pull us back until over an hour later. The vet did not come in until 35 minutes to an hour after that. The entire time she was talking about everything, she was mumbling behind her mask to where not everyone could understand her.
On top of that, the vet tech that we had was rude and condescending. She acted as though us wanting our dog was an inconvenience to her and wasn’t allowed, and we had to repeat ourselves that we wanted our dog before we made any decisions on anything. I have never been somewhere where I am separated from my dog for the entire duration of the stay. When I asked about something to help sedate and restrain her from potentially further injuring herself, she made a snide comment when she came back in saying “if you can’t watch your dog”. I asked for something to keep her calm and sedated as I have three other dogs in the house. 2 high energy puppies. All 3 bark at everything. Asking for something to help keep her calm is not the same as the inability to watch my dog, and the audacity to say that to my face is astounding.
Not only that, but the fact the vet saw my dog between 7 and 8:30, and did not have any notes written down in the system until I asked for them AFTER 9pm. I did not leave until 10:45pm waiting for JUST documentation of the visit and exam that was $165. I do not understand how it takes over 2 hours to type in notes and print them when they were read to me in 5 minutes.
$2000+ to hold my dog overnight is insane, and this place is out just for money. $650 of that just for X-rays and someone to look at the X-rays and say what’s going on. Absolute highway robbery. I do not recommend this place WHATSOEVER. The receptionist was very nice and understanding, absolutely not her fault. And the other vet tech who stepped in to assist seemed 10x better than the one assigned to our room. But I am thoroughly disgusted with the attitude of the vet tech who we dealt with, and the overall poor ethics I find this place to have. Especially when the vet tech wanted to sit and question WHY I did not want to pay them to do a single thing to my dog and would rather take her home and in to a normal vet in the am.

Dr. Vandike, Dr. vanderford and all the staff are by far the best!! Our poor 7week old puppy had Parvo!! He spent 3 nights here and the communication through the entire process was absolutely wonderful!! They saved his little life and I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone at this animal hospital!

I can't speak highly enough about the outstanding care at Pearland 288 Animal Emergency Clinic. The staff is incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable, always taking the time to explain treatments and answer all of my questions. They made sure my pet felt comfortable and cared for throughout the entire visit. Thanks to their expertise, my furry baby Lady Palmer is much more responsive and looking hopeful during this very delicate time in her life.. 🚨WARNING🚨WARNING🚨WARNING🚨 Do not bring your pets here! This place is a money mill and literally could not care less about your animals. We brought our kitty in on May 9, 2025, after she exhibited some concerning behaviors. She’d been falling over and unable to use her back legs. We knew she’d been weaned too soon and was the runt, but we’d never expected the vet to tell us she had “fading kitty syndrome” OR neurological issues—that she either needed thousands of dollars worth of tests OR to be put down. I asked if they weren’t sure she wasn’t just hungry and dehydrated. They were adamant that was not it. Guess what? Turns out that’s exactly what it was. She’s thriving now. I regret having brought her here and now I’m out $450+. I hope they treat your animals better than they did mine.
